       Rob Durham We met at 10.00 on The Green at Chiddingfold, GU8 4TU  (///skill.betraying.spenders in what3words). To our surprise parking was rather easier than anticipated. There were twenty-one of us on the ramble which made the start somewhat difficult – crossing the rather busy Pickhurst Road to the relatively quiet Pockford Road. First stop was the old post office to wonder at the solar-powered post box which can give one a receipt for items posted!  We crossed the road to Pound Cottage but the ancient building was of less interest than the marvels of modern post dispatch! This was a varied ramble across farmland, through woodland, along streams and over bridges, sometimes along purpose-built paths, a small amount on quiet roads, but mainly on smaller tracks.
