Good evening all,
Monday morning saw 14 walkers meet at The Red Lion Pub at Charlton.
The inspiration for this walk came from the March edition of the Vantage magazine.
The weather was perfect and the scenery was spectacular!.
Given the nature of the terrain we took our time and lots of opportunities for taking photos was possible.
We had our coffee stop at the beautiful church of St. Hubert's which was
looking splendid in the sunshine. Sadly the meadows of wildflowers had
gone to seed so we missed that picture.
After a bit of a 'hike' back up the Downs we were ready for our lunch
and refreshments at the pub. We were not disappointed. The food was
delicious and the service excellent.
The walk was judged a resounding success!.
Thank you to all who walked and apologies to Mary C. who sadly was missed from Secretts pick up so was unable to join us!.
