Broadwater lake and Wey Navigation. 8.9.2025. Led by Ian, back-marker by Margaret. 12 of us set off from the car park in Nursery road and headed towards the lake at Broadwater. Beautiful sunshine, blue sky and warmth. We walked the northern shore (clockwise) spotting various wildlife and saw a variety of different trees and shrubs. Safely crossing the main road the route took us down a narrow path through the woods before reaching the Wey Navigation and the junction with the river at the Weir. Turning south towards Godalming we ambled along the tow path looking at all sorts of flora and fauna the names of which just escape me for a moment. The back garden of ‘The Ragged Robin’ was visible if we peeped over the fence.
